Rockify is a start-up based in Austin, Texas which is focused on creating new and unique ways to interact with music. One of their first ventures is Rockify.tv, a revolutionary online music video platform. The company is doing some very exciting things right now, and I couldn't be more excited to have helped with the identity.
Public School is eagerly anticipating working with Rockify in the near future to fully develop their visual identity. To get more information about Rockify, sign up here.

If you went to the Railroad Revival Tour, featuring Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and Mumford and Sons, you are aware that none of these are the logos they used. Unfortunately, in the end, Public School's directions were not used, but we had a lot of fun working on the project and built some great relationships with some fine folks in the music industry.
Most of what you see here was a collaboration between myself and fellow Public Schooler Cody Haltom.

Srsly Sorry, a personal project of mine, is a website that features hilarious, absurd, and intriguing apologies. It has quickly grown into a popular online confession booth for anyone to come and express their apologies for any reason; as long as they do it with a smirk.
The identity of Srsly Sorry is, naturally, based off the feeling of being sorry. It's the face you make when you know you've done something wrong, or when someone has wronged you. It's a big fat black eye from a sucker-punch, or maybe you just walked into that pole on accident. The supporting elements also build on the apologetic theme, like the lined paper look as if you were writing a personal note, and the talk bubbles for blurting out your confession. It has been a consuming project, and a fun challenge to bring this concept to life.

Republic Tequila, an ultra-premium certified organic tequila that is "born in Mexico, and raised in Texas," asked me to create some graphics for their Superbowl and Rodeo promotions in early 2011.
If you haven't had Republic Tequila, I highly recommend you give it a try. The tequila is fantastic, and it helps that the people behind it are just as authentic as the product they turn out. Try it with the Prickly Pear Spirit Blend and you'll be hooked like me.

Congress Clothing is a retail store located in Waco, TX. For the second year in a row, I was tasked with creating their commercial for a local ad-campaign. The budget was tight, but with some craftiness and hard work, we managed to produce a quality piece that the company could be proud of. And yes, that is me making an appearance as the "crush" in my own commercial. I could be on my way to stardom.
Assisted by Genevieve Grinnan. Thanks to our talent, Amelia Hindmarch. Music by James Peel and "The Appeal." Work done while at Hole in the Roof.

Public School is a creative studio composed of designers, photographers, and illustrators. We take on work together when the opportunity presents itself, and work separately when it doesn't. Ww find that working together has helped us each grow creatively, and we're excited to pursue more work as a team in the near future.
The official office dog is Dexter, a cute little boston terrier who is the only son of member Cody Haltom. A few months back, we decided that we needed a mascot, and Dexter was the clear choice. Thus, we are now "Public School - Home of the Fighting Dexters." I went ahead and drew him up as our mascot. Don't worry, he's a lover, but like any good mascot, he needed an intimidating scowl.
Check out the blog here. Public School primary identity by Cody Haltom. Much of the back-end web work for Public School handled by photographer/web developer extraordinaire Jay B Sauceda.

Summer is a monster. It pulls you in and eats you alive. The best thing to do is grab your wayfarers and a towel, and head off the local swimming hole.
I created these posters with that idea in mind. There is nothing quite like summertime, especially in Austin, TX. I'm thinking about lobbying the city of Austin to use these prints as an official campaign to support public swimming facilities. I'll let you know what they have to say about that.
Hey Hamilton Pool lovers, I've got one in the works just for you. Man-o-man, I can't wait for summer.

I was gainfully employed by Hole in the Roof, a marketing and design firm based in Waco, TX, for the last few years. The company specializes in promotional design and marketing, but takes on all kinds of work from clients large and small, nationwide.
The people at HTR are good folks who I am happy to have worked with.

Congress Clothing is a retail store located in Waco, TX. The store hosts a wide variety of Baylor merchandise, as well as Toms shoes and unique graphic tees.
I have provided a wealth of print design and marketing collateral for the Congress Clothing over the last three years. I have also produced two low-budget television commercials for the company.
